No, but seriously. This took the longest time ever to make. And most nerves of mine as well. Started with about 15 abandoned sketches ... ended up finished only because Curse is the nicest, most amazing person and helped me get over this freaking impossible artblock. Thank you so much again!



Never put so much into a picture before ... but damn ... I hoped it would turn out better

Please note that the background description was a tiny bit confusing, because on the sketches and 3D view it looked like a big stadium, and on the pictures noble posted it looked like any normal indoor arena. So I decided to mix both, and drew a HUGE indoor arena. So it kind of fits both, doesn`t it?

Also, it is clear just from looking at the map of the jumping course, that the Wooden Hourse should be in this picture too, judging from the angle and the wideness of the shot .. I drew it. I did. But not only that I couldn`t really sort the perspectives out, it made the picture 100000000times less epic. It covered half of the background I worked a lot on, and just .. somehow filled the whole pic. It was too much. So I removed it XD



oh, btw. Her past competition entries are counted wrong in the entrants journal. She has entered more than 7 events (all drawn and submitted before registration deadline and were linked in registration note), which gives her 15 points (+5 points each for the first 2, +1 points for each of the rest, maximum of 15 points). Also, she has more than 3 first places, which means she gets another 9 points (+3 if placed 1st, +2 if placed 2nd, +1 if placed 3rd. Highest 3 placings only count.). This gives her 24 points (15+9), not 22 like it`s written in the journal.

You know that one moment in life .. when you know you can`t afford to screw anything up? When you know you must be at your
hundred percent and than ninety-nine percent is not an option? When you know you can`t afford to be nervous?

And yet you still feel that too familiar lump in your stomach, your mouth going dry and your hands shake ...
You can see your mind going through all the worst possible scenarios, unable to stop thinking about everything that could
go wrong in the next few minutes ...</sup>





I rode into the arena. I could see myself and Dummy on the bigscreen at one end, trotting further and further into the
bright sandy ring, with flashy jumps all around us. "We look so normal," the thought hit me. It felt odd .. seeing myself
at this time from such a perspective ... I turned my head to look around at the huge audience that gathered on the stands
at each side and the VIP tables ... I could see flashes from all the many cameras, I could see people waving flags ... it was huge.

And yet I felt as if I entered a bubble of silence. I knew there was noise .. but it felt as if I couldn`t hear it. There was music,
cheering, singing .. and yet it didn`t feel any louder than the whisper of soft morning wind through the trees of DNS.

I bowed my head to the judges and the bell rang. It was our turn.

I heard my heart beating furiously ... this rarely happened .. it shouldn`t. Hearing my heart pumping blood through my veins ..
my blood which was supposed to be ice cold ...

I moved my leg back, and Dummy leapt into canter. We dashed through the starting line ...
